Playa la Arena is in the town of Puerto Santiago, which is in the municipality of Santiago del Teide. One peculiar thing about this beach is that it has black sand, so black that the sand burns. If a normal beach has hot sand, this one is amazing.

11. Varadero or La Caleta beach in Adeje

The Caleta or El Varadero beach in Adeje, in my opinion this area is incredible, it is an area with some coves, although I like the most crowded one where everyone goes, which is where the boats are on land, where the El Varadero restaurant “Casa Mundo”, before this, is the El Mirlo restaurant, which is in the area where we must park. Well, once there, the best thing is to go to eat at one of these places and then to the beach, I never go to the beach but to the Varadero and although the rock is not my thing in this area it is the most suitable and I don’t know why the sea is like it is constantly calling you to the bathroom.

Later if you feel like it, the area also invites you to walk, if you have children there is a small park that does the trick and a walk along the beach area that makes walking pleasant, also some souvenir shops and something else, the truth is that you can spend the whole day.

Pinta Beach in Puerto Colon (Adeje)

La Pinta Beach or Puerto Colon Beach is a tourist beach that is more visible to the inhabitants of the south, although for me it is something special, I don’t know why, it seems to me a very welcoming beach, it is a beach of soft white sand, small and sheltered, its dike makes the sea always calm, it is ideal to go with children because being small they cannot go very far and although it may seem otherwise, it is never crowded, to say something else, if you go at a rather late hour, like at 5pm, there are almost no tourists, because at that time they are going to prepare for dinner that starts at about 6pm.

Well apart from my personal observations, this beach has all kinds of services, umbrellas, hammocks, showers, wifi, water activities, a park of mattresses in the sea and it is full of restaurants and shops throughout the area.

There is no parking anywhere, only a private parking lot that belongs to the Puerto Colon marina which of course can be accessed by paying.
